Tournament Entries

First, I'd like to announce that this year's NM Class Championship will be in Santa Fe April 16-17!!! More on that soon, or visit www.wiredkingscc.blogspot.com.


As of today's mail, the following people have signed up for this Saturday's tournament at the Nancy Rodriguez Community Center, #1 Pririe Dog Loop in the village of Agua Fria.

This is the season finale and we are offering a $200 first place per Octagon.

Entry fee is $25, and we will accept onsite entries between 8:30 and 9:00. If you know you are coming, please call or email in advance.

As usual, ratings reflect the most current ratings based on the tournament history tab on a player's page.

April 2nd will be the last tournament Rick organises in Santa Fe before taking off for new adventures in another town. If you are reading this you probably already know it, but he created the SFR and has run monthly tournaments in Santa for about 2 years now.
I hope you will all turn out for this one.

Tournament results and upcoming season finale

Results from our match play tournament have been posted to the uschess website. Thanks to all for playing on Saturday.

The Season Finale will be Saturday, April 2 at the Nancy Rodriguez Community Center in Agua Fria village. It will be a G/75 with 15 second delay, 3 round tournament.

First place prize will be $200 in each octagon, with a $25 entry fee.

Onsite registration is available, but please sign up in advance if you know you will be playing. Registration is between 8:30 and 9:00, first round starts at 9:15.

I am also pleased to announce that Jim Johnston will begin hosting SF Rooks tournaments after this season. I will be moving to Silver City for the summer (and beyond??), and am looking forward to the move.

Upcoming Tournaments

The final two tournaments of the season have been finalized. Both will be held at the Nancy Rodriguez Community Center in Agua Fria.

March 19 will be a G/100 with 30 second incremental, match play. $10 entry fee, with no prize money.
April 2 will be the season finale, G/75 with 15 second delay. Swiss Style Octagons. $25 entry fee, $200 prize for first place in each section.

Registration will be available onsite, but please register in advance if you know you will be coming.
